برطانیہ کی کیمرج کراون کورٹ نے قتل کیس کی پہلی سماعت کے دوران مرکزی ملزم پرعوامی مقام پر قتل اور چاقور رکھنے کی فرد جرم عائد کی تھی، آئندہ سماعت 8 ستمبر کو ہوگی۔
دوران سماعت ملزم نے الزامات کی صحت سے انکار کیا اور دعوی کیا کہ وہ اپنا دفاع کررہا تھا۔
عرب نیوز کے مطابق محمد القاسم کے قتل کے بعد ایک چیرٹی ادارے کو اب تک 1.8 ملین ریال عطیہ کیے جا چکے ہیں، دی روڈ مساجد کیئر ایسوسی ایشن نے صرف دو دن میں 1.7 ملین ریال کے عطیات جمع کیے، یہ رقم محمد القاسم کی یاد میں مسجد کی تعمیر میں خرچ کی جائے گی۔
